Within the Horizon Europe program's "Science of Excellence" pillar 1, the ERC (European Research Council) funds exploratory research projects at the frontiers of knowledge, in all fields of science and technology.
The sole selection criterion is scientific excellence.
Since 2017, CERCle - the ERC Club of the Aix Marseille site - has brought together all the site's ERC laureates, to enhance their visibility and encourage/sponsor future applicants.
