June 25, 2024

The European project SCHADOC (Society and Culture, Climate Change and Environmental Challenges, Health, Artificial Intelligence: DOC) was awarded under the CO-FUND call, with the Mission Europe pour la Recherche.

SCHADOC :

  • Scientific Manager Philippe Delaporte
  • Role: Coordinator
  • Unit / Service: DRV AMU
  • Call : HORIZON-MSCA-2023-COFUND-01

The SCHADOC doctoral program is an essential part of Aix-Marseille Université's strategy to transform higher education. The generous scholarships offered will attract a large number of talented international researchers at the start of their careers, enhancing their employability both inside and outside academia.

The program's research projects will be anchored in strategic areas, as it includes 19 partnerships with the non-academic sector and international research centers.

DOZENS OF DOCTORANDS ACCOMPANIED!
SCHADOC will recruit 40 young researchers over two calls, to develop their high-level doctoral training over a 3-year period. Doctoral students will be immersed in a competitive training environment, with renowned scientists, state-of-the-art facilities and extensive international and cross-sectoral mobility.

ANY SCIENTIFIC FIELD

The SCHADOC program is open to projects in all scientific fields corresponding to the major themes of the program. Seize your chance to have a PhD student fully funded on an ambitious and innovative topic by participating in the program as a supervisor, or co-supervisor. We look forward to hearing from you!

FOUR BIG THEMES
Four cross-cutting, interdisciplinary thematic research axes in line with the SUD region's smart specialization strategy and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
- Societies and culture
- Climate change and environmental challenges
- Health and well-being
- Artificial intelligence and its applications
These four thematic axes are broad enough to be addressed by several scientific disciplines, notably within the framework of interdisciplinary institutes. They reflect the strengths of the Aix-Marseille site in terms of research and innovation, as well as our strategic priorities.

OUR PARTNERS

The CIVIS network will strongly support international mobility, but the international dimension is not limited to CIVIS Alliance universities, and any other international partner can participate in the development of doctoral projects.

The non-university sector will be heavily involved in all SCHADOC projects. The program provides for mobility to a partner in the socio-economic or cultural world, e.g. to a company, hospital, NGO, public body, museum, etc.
