For his 1st visit to a French university since his appointment, Marc Lemaitre chose Aix Marseille!
For almost two days, he met with researchers and research professors from the site, focusing on a common theme: "From the ERC to start-ups, serving our region by building Europe".
Three thematic sequences punctuated his visit, with a focus on certain institutes: at the MMSH, highlighting examples of social innovation; at the M.I.O, focusing on environmental transition; and finally at the INMED, where he was able to discover some biotech success stories. He also visited CISAM and its incubators.

Marc Lemaître praisedAix-Marseille Université's "deep roots in its local area", reaffirming that "the interdisciplinary approach is crucial to meeting the challenges we face".
He also expressed his enthusiasm for our establishments' efforts to set up the ME.R., describing it as"an absolutely winning approach".
