17 European projects funded on the Aix-Marseille site!

The Aix-Marseille site (amU, CNRS, Inserm, IRD) confirms its European dynamism with 17 new projects funded in February 2026 in the INFRA and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) calls, supported by the Mission Europe pour la Recherche (MER):

  • 4 INFRA projects
  • 3 MSCA Staff Exchange (SE)
  • 10 MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships (PF)

Against a backdrop of increased competition at European level, these results underline the scientific quality of the teams and the effectiveness of the support offered.

Success rates higher than European and national averages

MSCA Staff Exchange (SE)

  • MER success rate: 42,86 %
  • European success rate: 22,6 %
  • French success rate : 27,6%

MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships (PF)

  • MER success rate: 16.6%
  • European success rate: 9.6% (lowest since 2014, due to a sharp rise in deposits)
  • French success rate: 8.91%

In both MSCA calls, projects supported by the MER have success rates well above the European and national averages, confirming the added value of the support offered.

Moreover, with 10 MSCA PF projects selected, including 7 at amU, the university is the 2nd largest French institution to receive funding, behind Sorbonne Université (12 projects funded).
